Arkansas, Northwestern Counties History, 1889

This database contains a history of Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Franklin, Madison, Sebastian, and Washington Counties, located in northwestern Arkansas. This history includes information about the topography, settlements, Indians, towns and villages, societies, religions, education, and wars of these counties. It also includes biographical sketches of some of the most prominent individuals of the counties in the appendix. Historical works can be wonderful sources for supplementing family history research because they provide information on the time and place in which our ancestors lived.
