This database is a collection of approximately 3,760 panoramic photos from throughout the United States, covering the years 1851-1991. Photo types include cityscapes, landscapes, and portraits. As a collection, the photos can be viewed as a portrayal of American life and history. For example, the destruction of San Francisco following the 1906 earthquake, family reunions, the Butte Motorcycle Club, and the Davenport Restaurant in Spokane, Washington, are all items that have been captured as photographs and are featured here in this collection.
